LEONARDS’ PRAISE AND PRAYER February 10, 2008
PRAISE -For the recent salvation of Edson, the husband of Angela, who was baptized in December. He made a decision after one of John’s Sunday evening messages. Praise the Lord! -For the wonderful retreat we had here on the church property this past weekend. It was a great time of edification and encouragement for the believers. There were two unbelievers present that also participated. -For the safe arrival of two short term girls, Michelle Johnston and Bekah Hendricks from Chariton, IA. They are adapting well and are helping us out so much!! -That John was able to purchase a used electric wheel chair!!
PRAYER
-For the new converts (Edson, Nelson, Erick, Lillian) that they will continue growing in the Lord.
For the unsaved (Beto, Marilene, Maria Elena, Giliarde, Luiz, Lillian-a different one—Edson, Lourdes, Roseli, Ana Paula)
-That the Lord would continue to bless our Thursday and Friday evening Bible studies. The folks have been so faithful!!!
-That the Lord would use Michelle and Bekah to reach souls for Christ while here in Brazil. They plan to stay until sometime in April.
-That John’s wheelchair problems would be resolved!! We are so thankful for the used chair the Lord has provided for him. However, his other chair has been in the shop for TWO MONTHS!! They finally figured out what it was and we need a part from the U.S. which was going to cost a fortune to have it sent, so we have asked a friend of ours to bring it down on February 19th when he comes. But John is doing very well and having a good attitude.
-For our home-schooling, which has been put on the “back burner” for a time. We normally take the month of January off, but this time it has stretched a little longer. Pray that we would have some real productive days this coming week.
